Terms and Conditions for Payment of Advocating and Soliciting Services

  1. Engagement of Services

    • Clients must sign a formal engagement agreement before any legal services commence.

    • The scope of work will be clearly defined in the agreement, including court appearances, legal drafting, consultations, etc.

  2. Consultation Fees

    • Initial consultations may be charged as per the firm's standard hourly rates or fixed fee basis.

    • Consultation fees are payable at the time of the meeting, unless waived or adjusted against future service charges.

  3. Fee Structure

    • Fees may be based on hourly rates, flat fees, or percentage-based charges depending on the nature of the case.

    • A detailed fee schedule will be provided upon request and included in the engagement letter.

  4. Advance Payment / Retainer

    • A non-refundable retainer (advance fee) must be paid before the commencement of any legal work.

    • The retainer will be adjusted against future invoices.

  5. Billing and Invoicing

    • Invoices will be issued periodically (monthly/bi-weekly) or upon completion of significant milestones.

    • All invoices are due within 7–15 days of issuance, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  6. Court and Filing Expenses

    • Court fees, government levies, documentation charges, and other out-of-pocket expenses are not included in professional fees and are to be reimbursed by the client as incurred.

  7. Mode of Payment

    • Payments can be made via bank transfer, cheque, UPI, or other approved digital methods.

    • Cash payments must comply with applicable legal limits and tax regulations.

  8. Non-payment Consequences

    • Delay or non-payment of fees may result in suspension or termination of services.

    • The firm reserves the right to take legal action for recovery of dues, including claiming interest and costs.

  9. Refund Policy

    • Fees once paid are non-refundable unless explicitly stated in writing or where services are not rendered due to firm-side issues.

  10. Confidentiality and Billing Privacy

  • All client financial information and billing records will be kept confidential and secure.

  1. Dispute Resolution

  • Any disputes related to payment shall be resolved amicably, failing which the matter shall be subject to arbitration or jurisdiction of courts at [HIGH COURT DELHI].
